VH1 Soul to Become BET Soul
The popular 24-hour block music video channel known for delivering the best in new and classic soul is getting a face-lift.
The Viacom entity announced today that VH1 Soul will now be known as BET Soul.
So whats the difference? Simple. The change will bring you closer to the artists you love with exclusive content you won't get anywhere else.
"BET Networks is thrilled to infuse more music content within its brand providing viewers with more access to their favorite artists through exclusive content and essentially super-serving them with the ultimate soul experience," says a rep of the network.
The name change comes as BET Networks continues to bring its audiences more of what they want while continuing their long-lasting presence on the pulse of today's music scene.
Soul music has been part of BET’s DNA, evident through the network's early programming, from Midnight Love and Video Soul to the Soul Train Awards. BET Soul is an opportunity to give our audience more of what they want and we always work toward super-serving our audience!
In addition, BET and VH1 strive to add value, build demand and support usage of viewer's digital television offerings. This rebranding will only serve to enhance and support the continued expansion of our business.
Wondering where you can get your hands on your new favorite place for soulful sounds? Don't fret, the new channel will be distributed across some of the largest cable distributors, including AT&T U-verse, Cablevision, Cox, Charter, Mediacom, Time Warner Cable, Bright House and Verizon FiOS.
