Conservatives Respond to the Roots' Bachmann Diss

Glenn Beck, Rush Limbaugh, and Michelle Bachmann speak out.

The Roots are feeling the backlash from an alleged stunt pulled on the set of Late Night With Jimmy Fallon, this past week.
As previously reported, Republican presidential candidate Michelle Bachmann, who's been criticized for what some have called false and inflammatory comments during her campaign, appeared on the acclaimed NBC show to discuss politics and family on Monday night [November 21]. However, she was welcomed to the stage by house band the Roots playing "Lyin' A** B***h" off Fishbone's eponymous 1985 debut EP.
Conservative Glenn Beck is none too pleased with the show of disrespect nor satisfied with the apology Fallon has since offered on Twitter, reports the Los Angeles Times.
"If you do that to Michelle Obama, I fire you," he said. "She's a guest in my home," he told his audience. "These people in the mainstream media don't give a flying crap about anything decent."
Describing Fallon's show as a "very low-rated NBC late late late night show," Rush Limbaugh chimed in, calling the action "disrespectful" and argued that had the same thing happened to Clinton on Fox News all hell would've broken loose.
Bachmann made similar comparisons. "If that had been Michelle Obama, who'd come out on the stage, and if that song had been played for Michelle Obama, I have no doubt that NBC would have apologized to her and likely they would have fired the drummer, or at least suspended him," she told Fox News.
This isn't the first time the Roots have subliminally dissed a Late Night guest. When Ashlee Simpson, who was famously busted for lip-syncing on Saturday Night Live, appeared on the show, they played "Girl You Know It's True," from fellow fakers Milli Vanilli.
