Drake Matches the Beatles With 14 Simultaneous Hot 100 Hits
It looks like surprise music releases are now the way to go as Drake has recently tied with legendary English rock band The Beatles for 14 tracks charting at the same time.
According to Billboard, If You're Reading This It's Too Late, which debuted at No. 1 on the Billboard 200, is already making historic moves. Most of the tracks on the surprise record, in addition to several of Drizzy's latest features, landed on the Hot 100 chart, tying the Beatles' record that stood unmatched for more than five decades, dating back to April 11, 1964.
This is not the first historic achievement for the sudden release. In addition to its No. 1 debut, the album made Drake the first rapper to top the Billboard Artist 100 chart. The "Legend" emcee also now holds a new record of 21 titles on the Hot R&B/Hip Hop Songs chart, including the Late project in its entirety.
Drake's highest-charted Billboard Hot 100 hit this week is "Only," his feature with Nicki Minaj, which sits comfortably at No. 16. Their second PinkPrint collaboration, "Truffle Butter," rests one spot below at No. 17 with most of the Canadian rapper's latest effort following close behind.
