Da Brat Working on New Book and Reality Show

She says her show would not contain drunkenness or confrontations.

Da Brat is really trying to get her life back on track since being released from prison in March. The rapper was serving time for attacking an Atlanta Falcons cheerleader at a nightclub with a bottle, but she now has her sights set on more productive endeavors. She might not have written any music during her two-and-a-half-year stint behind bars, but she did pen an book that talks about her rough childhood.

"The book is pretty much about myself as a child, growing up in church and the different things I encountered like being in a gang and trying to sell drugs," she tells CNN.

She's also shopping around a reality television show that would give fans a glimpse into her life minus the dramatics.

"The sad thing about it is most of these networks want the fighting, they want the drunkenness, they want the confrontational and that's not me anymore," she says. "I've outgrown that and I don't want that to be the main focus. Been there, done that and been through hell because of that. I want to show people who I am, introduce them to my family, where I've come from, how I'm helping people with my charity work. I know it sounds boring, but with that comes with a lot and a lot of bumps in the road."
