Boosie Badazz's Comments On Lil Nas X's Sexuality Receives Backlash From Fans
Just as well as fans received Lil Nas X’s new EP, 7, they warmly welcomed the country-rap sensation into the LGBT community upon his sexuality reveal on the last day of June’s Pride month.
The “Old Town Road” artist never explicitly confirmed what he identifies his sexuality as. But he did point out that he figured the hint of rainbow on his 7 cover artwork would suffice as a hint about his LGBT status in and of itself. Still, some people have already began tossing gay and queer labels at him, and sadly, homophobia as well.
Baton Rouge rapper Boosie Badazz was one of the people who had something to say about the 20-year-old’s reveal, and took to The Shade Room with his commentary.
“Well now you know what he was riding on the old town road,” Boosie commented on TSR’s post about Lil Nas X’s sexuality reveal. The remark was a clear reference to Nas X’s “Old Town Road” lyrics: “I’m gonna take my horse to the old town road/ I’m gonna ride ‘til I can’t no more.”
The internet apparently didn’t find the comment as funny as Boosie did, and instead found it homophobic. In turn, they shot back at the badazz in defense of young Nas X.

Amid their defense of him, the “c7osure” artist also left with a word—or photo, rather— for the homophobes in general:
