Forest Whitaker’s Ex-Wife Keisha Nash's Cause of Death Revealed
It has been a rough few weeks for the Whitaker family, as they are still mourning the sudden loss of the ex-wife of Academy Award-winning actor Forest Whitaker. Nash died unexpectedly in Los Angeles on December 6, 2023. She was 51 years old.
Now, details about Nash’s cause of death have been determined. According to her death certificate, Nash died from alcoholic liver disease, a condition she suffered from for years. Her death certificate also includes renal failure as a possible contributing factor to her death.
The public first learned of Nash’s passing when her 25-year-old daughter, True Whitaker, posted the news on her Instagram Story on December 7 with a message saying goodbye to her mother. The caption further stated, "The most beautiful woman in the world...thank you for teaching me every single thing I know. I'll see you in my dreams and I'll feel you in my heart."
The former actress/model and Whitaker got married in 1996 and also share a 27-year-old daughter, Sonnet. Nash has an older child, Autumn, from a previous relationship. The two shocked Hollywood in 2018 with the announcement of their decision to divorce after 22 years of marriage.
The death certificate states that Nash was buried in Los Angeles on Dec. 20.
