Fat Joe Shares His Thoughts On Nick Cannon And Eminem’s Rap War
After over 48 hours in Nick Cannon and Eminem’s on-wax rap war, Fat Joe has now weighed in to give his thoughts on the latest round of their long-standing feud.
It’s been an all-out war of words between members of the Shady Records faction and Cannon’s squad, which now includes former Death Row Records CEO Suge Knight and (now) his son Suge Jacob Knight.
Joey Crack, however, won’t be picking any sides. TMZ caught up with the Terror Squad headman in New York about his take in the ongoing drama after Em sent shots at Cannon on his song “Lord Above.” The record served as a catalyst that reignited their decade-long beef. Cannon came back at Eminem and dropped two diss tracks of his own: “The Invitation” and “Pray for Him.”
While speaking with Joe, the reporter suggested that Joe couldn’t have “planned [a] better press [run]” given the recent rollout of his latest studio album, Family Ties. “I didn’t plan nothing. I’m an innocent bystander,” Joe quickly clarified, confirming that he did not have anything to do with “refueling” the beef, despite the optics.

“I’m taking the high road,” he proclaimed, adding “I love Nick Cannon. He’s a good guy. Eminem’s a very good friend of mine and they got they little personal hip-hop thing going, you know what I’m saying?”
He did share his opinion on the rap cred as it relates to Em and Nick’s on-wax war, though
“I mean, Nick Cannon is a money magnet, he’s a talented man [and] he’s a beautiful person. But then when you talk rap, you talk Eminen’s a GOAT. There’s just no way…He’s an alien in this rap [game],” Joe said.
The reporter then asked if there’s ever an off-limits line that rappers can’t cross, to which Joe responded, “Not Eminem. With Eminem, he do what he want, and then I guess Nick Cannon gotta respond the same way, you know?”
When asked if Cannon was really responsible for Em’s inclusion on “Lord Above” as the Wild N’ Out star had claimed on “The Invitation,” Joe verified that the claim was “not true.”

As far as he’s concerned, Joe was just honored to be on a song with the legendary MC, whom Joe stated that he looks to “lyrically,” along with R&B queen Mary J. Blige. It’s worth noting that Joe has heavily hinted that Family Ties could possibly be the final chapter of his illustrious music career, as well.
“I love them both. I think this is fun stuff going on right here,” Joe said. His final sentiments on the matter was to 'let the people decide want they want.”
'That's what this is: hip-hop...Whatever happens, happens,' Joe finished
