Offset On Rap Game: 'All Your Favorite Artist Sound Like Migos'
Offset took to Instagram on Thursday (June 13) to celebrate the Migos' sixth-year anniversary of the release of their first mixtape, Y.R.N (Young Rich Niggas). Alongside the celebratory post, the rapper made one bold claim that has turned into a fierce debate amongst hip-hop fans in his comments.
Posting a photo of the cover of the Migos' Y.R.N. mixtape, ‘Set proclaimed the hip-hop trio changed the rap game. For anyone doubting his words, the “Clout” rapper dared naysayers to listen and compare music from 2013 with songs coming out today.
“I challenge any artist to play they music from 2013 and play they music now. Your sound is now Migos sound,” the rapper challenged. “I say this very humble but its true so stop saying u made words up and all that. We made your sound.”
Quavo, who is usually quiet on these matters most of the time, backed his fam’ up.
“TENYA SET,” Huncho wrote in the comments.
“YESSSSIR!! N**gas done ran off with the flow and never gave it back,” one fan commented in support.

Other hip-hop heads were quick to point to other rappers like Future, Three 6 Mafia and Chief Keef, who came out with a similar sound before the Migos. The debate raged across Offset's original post and The Shade Room's reposted version as fans contested who brought trap from the fringes of rap into mainstream.
