Nearly a year ago, Kanye West was forced to cancel the European leg of his Saint Pablo Tour after being hospitalized for an emotional breakdown. And, in the months since, the rapper has eluded the public eye ― even forgoing his coveted Yeezy Season 6 fashion show. 

But it appears as though the G.O.O.D. Music frontman is turning over a new leaf and re-emerging with a new look. 

On Friday (Sept. 22), the "Through The Wire" songwriter was spotted out and about in LA with wife Kim Kardashian, along with their two children, for an ice skating trip. The 40-year-old had noticeably packed on a few pounds and was sporting a wide grin to complement his signature style. 

The hitmaker's weight gain sent social media into a frenzy, but if you ask Wu-Tang clan frontman RZA, the rapper's health has steadily improved. 

In a recent sit down with Power 106's The Cruz Show, the Shaolin mastermind teased that Ye has been actively working on new music. "We had a great conversation recently," RZA said candidly. "He's in a great place." 

"He had two ASRs in the studio," he continued. "So, he's about to get busy."
