Tia Mowry And Cory Hardrict Divorce Settlement Sets Guidelines For Future Partners Meeting Their Kids
After a divorce that few saw coming, details of the settlement between Tia Mowry and her ex-husband Cory Hardrict have emerged.
The now exes, whose divorce journey was announced last October, will share joint legal and physical custody of their children, 11-year-old son Cree and their 4-year-old daughter Cairo, as reported by RadarOnline.
Furthermore, according to court documents obtained by PEOPLE, if the former couple, who had been married for 14 years, chooses to give love a second try with someone new, they will have to follow a unique set of guidelines before making introductions to their children.
The legal documents cite, "Absent agreement to the contrary, each party is restrained from introducing the minor children to a new romantic partner until that party has been in an exclusive relationship with the romantic partner for at least six months."
There is a followup to this clause that prevents Mowry and The Game alum from having overnight visits with new partners when their children "are with that custodial parent during the first six months of the exclusive relationship."
The actress took to Instagram last fall to announce their separation.
"I have always been honest with my fans, and today is no different. I wanted to share that Cory and I have decided to go our separate ways. These decisions are never easy, and not without sadness. We will maintain a friendship as we co-parent our beautiful children.”
