Kimora Lee Simmons to Expand Fashion Empire
Kimora Lee Simmons is making plans to branch out with her fashion line, KLS Kimora Lee Simmons, and her first task has been to hire a new president to lead the team. According to WWD, the 40-year-old entrepreneur has tapped Jacqui Wenzel to be the new president of the high-end brand she launched last fall.
Throughout her 20-year career, Wenzel has worked with popular retailers such as Henri Bendel, Bergdorf Goodman and Max Mara and has consulted newer brands like Misha Nonoo and Ji Oh. Wenzel admitted that she’d never met Simmons before meeting with her about the job, but that Simmons’s enthusiasm drew her into the position. She’ll now spearhead KLS’s move into wholesale and will help open its first retail store on Beverly Drive in Los Angeles in June.
