LL Cool J Back In The Studio With Rick Rubin

The veteran rapper reunites with the legendary producer for his next release

Get ready to call it a comeback again. Veteran MC LL Cool J is back in the studio, and he's reunited with legendary producer Rick Rubin. According to Violator management CEO Chris Lighty, the two are currently working on LL's next release. "We're excited that him and Rick Rubin are back together," Lighty told BET.com.

Rubin co-founded Def Jam Records with Russell Simmons back in 1984. LL's single "I Need A Beat" was the label's first release. LL Cool J and Rick Rubin went on to make history together, recording LL's classic debut, Radio.  As a producer, Rubin went on to produce for a countless number of musicians, and in 2007, he won the Grammy Award for producer of the year.
