“The holiday season is my favorite time of year — just ask my family about my nine-hour Christmas playlist. I‘m excited to be working again with Eddie Murphy, Brian Grazer, and Amazon,” Hudlin said in a statement.
Details about the movie are unclear but production is currently in the works in Los Angeles and is based on writer Kelly Younger’s childhood holiday experiences.
Murphy will produce alongside Imagine Entertainment co-founder Brian Grazer, President of Imagine Features Karen Lunder and Charisse Hewitt-Webster.
Candy Cane Lane marks the seventh collaboration between Grazer and Murphy, which includes the 1992 film Boomerang.
