Lil Wayne Launches New Sports Management Company
Is Cristiano Ronaldo throwing up that YMCMB?
According to TMZ, arguably the best soccer player in the world is signing on to become the first client in Lil Wayne’s own sports management company.
The celebrity news website reports that Wayne’s company will be working with PolarisSports — which is affiliated with the CAA agency and GestiFute — which Ronaldo's agent, Jorge Mendes, operates.
In addition, Weezy will handle all of Ronaldo’s U.S. sports-management affairs, including endorsement deals, branding and marketing, as well as modeling, to which Ronaldo is no stranger.
Weezy and Ronaldo were reportedly friends before this deal, with the Young Money MC eyeing the Portugal soccer to set off his sports management company. Looks like Weezy got what he wanted.
To celebrate the reported announcement, Ronaldo had the Japanese prime minister throw up the YMCMB sign in a picture he tweeted out to Wayne.
The CAA agency teaming with his company is the same one that partners with Jay Z’s Roc Nation Sports management division.
We wonder what Hov thinks about Weezy’s splashy move?
