Bow Wow recently spoke to VladTV, giving one of his most personal interviews to date.

The conversation between him and DJ Vlad touched on some dark moments of the rapper-turned-entertainer’s life, including a time where he was suicidal.

During the serious conversation, Bow Wow candidly talks about drama with his daughter’s mother, experiencing suicidal thoughts, as well as his decision to make the girls he’s interested in hanging out with sign a non-disclosure form because he wants to stay out of the tabloids.

“You mentioned at one point you were suicidal,” Vlad asks. 

“Years ago, yeah,” Bow Wow responds without hesitation.

As the conversation goes on, the rapper chalks it up to saying he was in a “dark space” during the writing period for his third album. He also said that he didn’t feel like life was worth living because he’d already done everything “three times over.”

The discussion is a perfect example of Bow Wow keeping it unapologetically real, bouncing between being hilarious and grim in his responses. In his words, he is a realist after all.
