Nicki Minaj Drops New Song 'Pills N Potions'
Nicki Minaj is angry on her new song, "Pills N Potions," but she still loves you.
As promised, the Young Moula rapper delivered the first official single off her upcoming album, The Pink Print, and it's a haunting rap ballad that pulls in singer Ester Dean for some co-writing, and pop producer Dr. Luke for the thumping, hollowed-out beat.
"Hey, yo, they could never make me hate you/ Even though what you was doing wasn’t tasteful/ Even though you out here looking so ungrateful/ I’ma keep it moving, be classy and graceful," she spits on the first verse.
"People will love you and support when it’s beneficial/ I’ma forgive, I won’t forget but I’ma dead the issue," she adds on the second.
The Pink Print is the Barb's third studio album, expected sometime this year. To gear up for it, she's been stripping down her more ostentatious stage presence for a more girl-next-door ferocity. "It sounds like urgency, it sounds like betrayal, it sounds like running, it sounds like fainting," she said when describing "Pills N Potions."
Prior to this song, she also let loose non-official singles "Lookin' A--" to a bit of controversy over the non-official cover art; "Chi-raq," featuring Lil Herb; and the bounce-and-drill song "Yasss Bish," featuring and produced by Soulja Boy.
