50 Cent Has His Eye on Kelly Rowland \r
Beyoncé may have Jay-Z on lockdown, but Kelly Rowland's got 50 Cent's attention. The G-Unit rapper recently expressed his appreciation for Rowland's talent during an interview where he was asked about his favorite songs of the moment. One of those songs just happened to be Kelly Rowland's hit single "Motivation." But it wasn't just the song that 50 thought was hot.
"I'm so happy Kelly got that hit record. She's due; she's so due. She's the most underrated female soloist in the game, and it's finally time for her," 50 said in an interview with MTV.com.
50 went on to explain that his early admiration for Rowland led him to cast her in his video for "Baby By Me" from his 2009 album Before I Self Destruct. Then the rapper started to compare Kelly's talent to that of her former Destiny's Child member and close friend Beyoncé. "There wasn't no dance moves Beyoncé was doin' that Kelly wasn't doin'. It's just the right song. You got the song, now you can forget about it. It's going. They all did the same moves," 50 argued.
Not one to usually say such nice things about other artists, 50 gave it up to Kelly. "This year is her year," he said.
