James Dolan Hires Isiah Thomas Yet Again

Former Knicks coach named president of WNBA's New York Liberty.

New York Knicks owner James Dolan just can't seem to live without Isiah Thomas

After hiring Thomas as the president of the Knicks in 2003, naming him the head coach in 2006 and re-assigning him as a consultant in 2010, the Hall of Fame-point guard is back at Madison Square Garden.

On Tuesday, the Garden announced that Thomas has been hired to run the WNBA’s New York Liberty franchise as team president, while also having an ownership stake, the New York Times is reporting.

Why is the announcement strange? Well, because nearly eight years ago, Dolan had to pay an $11.6 million settlement to a former team executive, who accused Thomas of sexual harassment while he was the Knicks head coach.

Still, even after that, Dolan thought it was a good idea to bring back Thomas yet again...and this time run his WNBA team.

“Jim reached out to me about three or four months ago,” Thomas told the Times. “He said he thought the team could use some help and if I wanted to get involved. I said I did. We just kept talking, and it led to this.”
