R. Kelly's Comment About Lady Gaga Has Fans Torching Him At The Stake...

"It’s unfortunate that her intelligence go to such a short level when it comes to that."

Among R. Kelly’s rhapsodic CBS interview that turned the entire entertainment world into his first public confrontation of sexual abuse allegations, all of which he denied, Kelly also had words for electro-pop star Lady Gaga.

The relationship between the musicians goes back five years ago when they collaborated on the techno-pop and R&B hybrid record “Do What U Want (With My Body).” Thus, upon the airing of Lifetime’s Surviving R. Kelly documentary, Gaga was among the list of Hollywood names and of Kelly’s former collaborators who declined an appearance in the film. She later went on to apologize for the affiliation with him, declaring her solidarity with his accusers and explaining the “dark time” in her life that she was at when the collaboration came about. “I stand behind these women 1000%, believe them, know they are suffering and in pain, and feel strongly that their voices should be heard and taken seriously,” Gaga stated. “I’m sorry, both for my poor judgment when I was young, and for not speaking out sooner.”

But when famed journalist Gayle King mentioned John Legend (who did appear in the documentary) and Gaga during her conversation with him, Kelly reportedly wasn’t so fond of her response to the allegations stacked against him.

“It’s unfortunate that her intelligence go to such a short level when it come to that,” he said, according to InStyle. “You know, I have nothing against none of these artists. But I think it’s not professional for them to do that, because something like this can happy to any artist, anybody famous. Anybody famous can get accused of so many different things.”

  • The full CBS This Morning interview has yet to be released, so viewers haven’t caught all of his sentiments on the industry response to his controversy just yet. But Gaga’s little monsters already heard all they needed to hear with regard to the “Shallow” singer, and they’re clawing away at Kelly in defense of her:
