This episode of House of Payne mainly focuses on Jasmine figuring out what she wants to do with her life. She’s in college but has been vlogging a lot and growing a social media following. She explains to Malik and CJ that she’s considering becoming an influencer full-time. CJ is not into the idea of Jasmine dropping out of school to chase after social media. Still, things get even more interesting when Jasmine discovers that her followers have been calling her dad a zaddy and asking for more pictures of him.

Let’s fast forward a bit. Jasmine and CJ stop by Curtis and Auntie Ella’s house to discuss Jasmine’s desire to pursue social media full-time. CJ and Ella would prefer it if Jasmine stayed in school, but the additional part is that Jasmine’s grades have been going downhill. CJ got a letter from her school and put her on blast.  Jasmine is adamant that she should rethink school because she’s thinking about how there are 3-year-olds making millions by talking about toys. That’s cool, but then she notices that her follower count dipped. That’s because she told her followers that she won’t be posting any more of “zaddy.” CJ uses this as an example that social media isn’t stable.

Surprisingly, Ella backs Jasmine. She says the world has changed, and they all know that the Payne kids tend to go against the grain. Ella thinks Jasmine may need to find her way. However, CJ says if this is what Jasmine wants to do, she will be on her own financially, much to Jasmine’s chagrin.

The episode winds down with Jasmine and CJ having a heart-to-heart. CJ presents a compromise: if she keeps doing her influencer work on the side and stays in school, he’ll support her. He suggests that it would be more beneficial for her followers to see that she can follow her dreams and stay focused on her school work. Jasmine agrees to the deal, and all is well again. CJ even poses for another zaddy pic for her followers.
