Another Divorce for Halle Berry
Another one bites the dust. After two years of marriage, People has confirmed that Halle Berry and Olivier Martinez are now done-zo.
According to reports, nothing specific prompted the divorce but the relationship has "run its course" with the former couple "keeping it amicable."
Berry and Martinez met in 2010 on the set of the box office flop Dark Tide. While the film failed to make any impact, the actress met the love of the next five years of her life. The couple dated for three years before tying the knot on July 12, 2013, in Martinez's home country of France.
Three months after the ceremony, on October 5, the Monster's Ball actress gave birth to their son, Maceo-Robert. While this is their first child together, the actress has a 7-year-old daughter, Nahla Ariela, with her ex-boyfriend model Gabriel Aubry, whom she's been battling in court for years over the custody of Nahla since their 2010 split.
After her third failed marriage, Halle told In Style, "I will never, never get married again," she said.
Berry's track record with marriage isn't the best. Back in 1993, she married baseball player David Justice. The couple separated three years later with the actress falling into a depression, saying she considered taking her own life. They divorced in June of 1997.
Four years later, she married R&B singer Eric Benét. But they separated in 2003 and finalized their divorce in 2005 after the singer admitted to suffering from sex addiction.
Though Berry dated Aubry for five years — they met on the set of a Versace photo shoot — and had a beautiful daughter together, they never quite made it down the aisle.
If Berry and Martinez finalize their divorce, this would mark Berry's third and Martinez's first.
