Bianka Bryant Honors Dad, Kobe Bryant, With First Pitch at Dodgers Game

Attendees were given special-edition jerseys to celebrate the LA Lakers star just days after what would have been his 46th birthday.

Kobe Bryant's daughter Bianka Bryant threw her first pitch at a Los Angeles Dodgers game this past weekend in honor of the late NBA legend.

On Sunday (Aug. 25), the seven-year-old attended the Los Angeles Dodgers' game against the Tampa Bay Rays with her mother, Vanessa Bryant and two sisters, Natalia Bryant, 21, and Capri Bryant, 5. They all wore matching Dodgers jerseys that had No. 24 on the back in honor of Kobe, who died in the 2020 helicopter crash in Calabasas, California at the age of 41, alongside with his 13-year-old daughter Gianna Bryant and seven others.

In a post shared on the MLB’s Instagram page, Bianka is shown winding up and delivering an impressive pitch at Dodgers Stadium, Dodgers game against the Tampa Bay Rays with her mother, Vanessa Bryant, and two sisters, Natalia Bryant, 21, and Capri Bryant, 5. They all wore matching Dodgers jerseys with No. 24 on the back in honor of Kobe, who died in the 2020 helicopter crash in Calabasas, California, at 41.

After the baseball game, Vanessa posted a series of photos and videos from the event on Instagram. "Thank you @dodgers for supporting our @mambamambacitasports foundation. L.A. Love," she captioned the post. Attendees at the game were given special-edition Kobe jerseys to celebrate the Los Angeles Lakers star just a few days after what would have been his 46th birthday. The jersey was designed to pay tribute to the "Black Mamba," featuring snake print, gold, and black colors, and displaying his iconic numbers, eight and 24.

This isn’t the first instance of a Bryant girl throwing out the first pitch at a Dodgers game. In September 2023, Natalia stepped onto the mound at Dodgers Stadium. Kobe also threw the first pitch at a Dodgers game in June 2000.
