Method Man Might Not Be Here for Another Wu-Tang Reunion

“It’s time to leave that sh** the f**k alone.”

A return of the Staten Island-bred gangsta rap squad Wu-Tang Clan might be more wishful thinking than an actual reality since Method Man, an OG member, declared it a lost cause.

The reason behind such hopeless views can be credited back to 2014, when the crew linked back up for the release of A Better Tomorrow. The sixth studio album from Wu-Tang debuted at No. 29 on Billboard 200, but the mixed reviews of its reception didn’t sit well with some members.

In a recent Playboy magazine interview, conducted by film star James Franco, Method Man said that his primary focus for now was on the big screen and not the studio with his former hip-hop clique.

“I’m doing my thing with acting. RZA’s directing,” he said. “We gave it one last shot on this latest LP, but you know, it wasn’t received well by the fans. And some of the Clan members didn’t like it either — the way it was done, the process and all that. For me, if you don’t love what you’re doing anymore, it’s time to leave that sh** the f**k alone.”

Calling himself a “team player,” however, he said that if the crew ever did make a serious return for more albums, he’d be down if their hearts were in it.

“Dudes in the Clan still have that itch, and I’m a team player, so if they want to go back and make another album, as many albums as they want to make, I’m here for it.”

Only time can tell now what the squad's legendary fate has in store for fans.
