Bishop Eddie Long’s Accusers Have Said Too Much
Bishop Eddie Long is in the news ... again, only this time it’s his accusers who are taking the heat.
According to Fox News, the lawyers for three of the men involved in the sexual misconduct suit against Bishop Eddie Long have dropped their clients after they violated their confidentiality agreement in interviews with the media and on Twitter.
Jamal Parris, Spencer LaGrande and Centino Kemp were dismissed by Brenda Joy Bernstein and co-counsel Jay Sadd.
Long’s attorneys claim that Paris and LaGrande violated the terms by participating in interviews with the Atlanta Journal Constitution and WSB-TV. They also claim that Kemp violated the agreement by tweeting comments such as "I was literally your hooker" in reference to the case.
The pastor’s attorneys are seeking to collect $300,000 per violation.
In September 2010, the New Birth Missionary Baptist Church pastor was charged with sexual misconduct after five young male members of his church claimed that the Bishop coerced them into sexual contact.
Long denied the charges and, in an out-of-court settlement, he allegedly dished out around $15 million.
