BET to Air the First Presidential Debate of 2024
The world will watch Vice President Kamala Harris and former President Donald Trump take center stage for the first presidential debate of 2024, and BET will be your go-to source to watch it live on Tuesday, September 10, 9 PM Eastern Time.
The event will take place at the National Constitution Center in Philadelphia and will be moderated by "World News Tonight" anchor David Muir and ABC News Live "Prime" anchor Linsey Davis.
There will be no live audience, and microphones will only be active for the candidate currently speaking, with the other candidate's microphone muted during their opponent’s turn, according to reports. Candidates will not be allowed to question each other directly.
On October 1, the vice-presidential candidates—Minnesota Democratic Governor Tim Walz and Ohio Republican Senator JD Vance—will face off in a debate hosted by CBS News.
The 2024 Presidential Debate begins at 9 p.m., with CBS airing post-debate analysis immediately following the event.
