Geno Smith Will Become The First Black QB In 92 Years To Ever Start For The Giants Due To Eli Manning's Benching
The New York Giants (2-9) have been absolutely dreadful this season, but that didn't soften the shock of its coach, Ben McAdoo, announcing Tuesday that the team is benching two-time Super Bowl champion quarterback Eli Manning to start Geno Smith for their road game against the Oakland Raiders on Sunday. The move will snap Manning's streak of 210 consecutive regular-season games started over his 14 years with the team. In comparison, Smith has been nothing more than a draft bust, with a 12-18 career record over his five years in the NFL.
Smith becoming the first African-American quarterback to ever start a game for the Giants, who have a 92-year history and are the only NFL franchise to have never started a Black QB, is the only positive to draw here.
But even that can't stop the NFL community from dragging McAdoo and the Giants to hell and back over their disrespectful treatment of Manning.
Peep how nonchalantly Giants coach Ben McAdoo announced that the team is benching Eli Manning to see what Geno Smith can do
Hey, Coach McAdoo... Geno's 12-18 career record as a starter with more interceptions (36) than touchdowns (28) should have told you already that there's no way you should have benched Eli Manning to see what Smith can do.
The decision had Manning fighting back tears
Damn.
Former NFL linebacker London Fletcher called out the Giants for their deep disrespect
For real.

Dwyane Wade scoffed at the 'loyalty in sports' over the way the Giants treated Manning
#Facts.
Michael Rapaport Ethered Coach McAdoo with zero chill
"You decided to bench Eli Manning? You f**k, you!" Rapaport said. "You're benching two-time Super Bowl champion Eli Manning? You motherf**ker, you! The only person that should be getting benched is your f**king barber!"
And longtime NYC sports radio host mike francesa's epic rant about McAdoo went viral
He really said, “You can’t run this clown [referring to McAdoo] out of town fast enough! The worst thing that ever happened was Eli Manning had to be associated with you as head coach.”
Ouch!

Former star wide receiver Steve Smith Sr. blasted McAdoo as well
It's not you, Steve. That point is widely agreed upon.
And several of Eli's ex-Giants teammates stood by their former QB
Talk to 'em!
Former offensive lineman and current ESPN contributor Damien Woody tried to reason that people are really outraged because it's struggling QB Geno Smith replacing Eli
Clearly, people weren't having it.

If Geno plays terribly, as people expect, McAdoo's post-game press conference could look like ...
Sheesh!
