Here's The Alleged Reason Why Tamar and Vince Are Divorcing
It was recently reported that Tamar Braxton filed for divorce from her husband and manager Vincent Herbert, and while the news was met with shock by the singer's fans, no further details accompanied the report -- until now.
theJasmineBRAND.com reports that several factors led to the hefty decision, ranging from fights to money issues.
"We knew it was coming for a long time," a source told the site. "There were cracks in her marriage for years, but it just kept getting worse and worse."
The insider went on to add that while their marriage was crumbling behind the scenes, the couple would put on a united front for the outside world.
"There was lots of fighting, lots of yelling, lots of threats, but as soon as they'd go out in public, they'd act as if nothing was wrong," the source continued.
Among the most outstanding issues they faced together was Vince's reported troubles with money, which stood as a major problem to the "Love & War" singer.
"Tamar wasn't aware of some of the business issues that Vince had," the source said. "He doesn't know how to manage money. One time their house almost went into foreclosure. She had no idea. One of her sisters found out, told Tamar and she took care of it."
As far as Vince's recent slim and trim image is concerned, Tamar wasn't initially onboard with him going under the knife to lose weight. The source claimed she "wasn't in 100 percent agreement that he should get it done." However, he went along with the procedure anyway.
Last, another indicator of Tamar's decision was her refusing to spend personal time with him.
"Outside of work, she didn't want to socialize with him as much," the insider mentioned. "She'd say, 'He has his friends and I have mine.' Tamar didn't want to be up under him anymore. She wanted more independence."
Tamar has since released a statement on the divorce through her reps, labeling it "an extremely difficult decision." They have been married for nine years and have a 4-year-old son, Logan, together.
