Mekhi Phifer Says ‘8 Mile’ Sequel Won’t Happen
Mekhi Phifer doesn’t want 8 Mile fans to get their hopes up that a sequel is on the way, despite the classic movie recently celebrating its 20th anniversary.
According to the actor who stars in the film, there will never be a follow-up flick!
“Sometimes it’s better to just leave it at one,” Phifer says, according to TMZ. “Sometimes it's just best to leave it alone, once you make a classic, there’s no reason to full around with it.”

Adding that if by any chance there happened to be a sequel he wouldn’t star in it and doubts that his co-star, Eminem, who won an Oscar for "Best Music, Original Song" in the film would be in it either.
8 Mile dropped in November 2002 and starred Eminem, the late Brittany Murphy, Kim Basinger, Mekhi Phifer and more. The film was also nominated for a Golden Globe, Grammy and several other awards.
