Report: Here's Why Ciara Is Taking Legal Action Against Future Over Their Son...

The "Level Up" singer will allegedly call on the court for a full trial as her last resort.

Former hip-hop/R&B lovebirds-turned-co-parents Ciara and Future have steered clear of any public drama since shaking hands on a custody agreement over their 4-year-old son, Future Zahir, last year.

With the court-ordered arrangement, Ciara also tossed out her $15 million defamation lawsuit against her former fiancé as a possible means to purify any more bad blood between the two. Unfortunately, TMZ reports, she’s lugging him back in front of a judge with concerns for baby Future’s travel schedule between his parents, which the Beastmode 2 rapper is reportedly giving her a hard time settling on.

  • TMZ reportedly got their hands on new legal documents from CiCi’s court motion that show a request for mediation

In an attempt to hash out a new travel arrangement for their son, the site adds, Ciara’s legal team asks that the judge mandate Future into the mediation since she’s apparently had zero luck working it out with him. TMZ adds that she’s even sought out a court trial in the case that the judge rejects her request for the mediation.

  • This would also make the second time this year that the ‘Level Up’ singer has brought Fewtch’s alleged parental negligence to the court’s attention

Back in March, Ciara reportedly filed claims that he’d been a frequent no-show for scheduled visits with their son, which led to a domino effect on messing up her own schedule, TMZ reported. When Future did have his son, TMZ added in their report of the legal claims, he often passed him off to his mom or grandmother as well. No updates on that particular court matter surfaced afterward.

  • The hope now is that CiCi and Fewtch can amicably settle the new parental matter without having to take too many steps backward.
