See Beyoncé Reimagined by One of the World’s Top Artists
See Beyoncé like you never have before: through the lens of one of the world’s leading visual artists. Queen Bey covers the Spring/Summer 2016 issue of Garage magazine, a collaboration with internationally renowned artist Urs Fischer. According to the magazine, the special-edition issue features “an exclusive new portrait of Beyoncé, transformed into a collage of paint and photography by the celebrated artist.”
On the cover, Bey’s bare face lends itself perfectly to Fischer’s bold aesthetic. She wears her flowing, blonde locks in the neat cornrows she favored in the “Formation” music video and thick coats of blue and white paint encircle her face. A separate image shows the pop icon looking up to the heavens as a halo of yellow, orange, pink and red surround her.
In addition to the stunning images, the magazine promises an interactive component to the issue via the Garage Mag App, which will include “exclusive words and images from Beyoncé herself.”
If you’re dying to hear what pearls she blesses us with this time around, plus see the full photo spread, pick up the Spring/Summer 2016 issue on March 14.
