World Stop!: Beyoncé Makes Vogue History In $14k Gucci Dress and Custom Floral Headpiece
Beyoncé shut down the internet this morning. Her iconic September Vogue cover is finally here and the Beyhive went nuts. As mentioned previously, the entire shoot was photographed by the 23-year-old photographer Tyler Mitchell and curated by Beyoncé herself. The cover story has 10 shots including two covers.
Queen Bey looks stunning in designers such as Louis Vuitton, Valentino and Gucci, all styled by Tonne Goodman. The set was designed By David Tyler James and channels English the countryside. There’s also a bit of a vintage feel with wallpaper, beautiful gold drapes and fabrics hanging from a clothesline in a garden.
The 36-year-old superstar is on the U.S. Vogue cover looking like a goddess wearing an elaborate custom floral headpiece by Phil John Perry for Rebel Rebel with a Gucci resort 2019 dress. The photo is taken in front of a white sheet in a field and the $14k ivory ruffle high-neck dress reminds us of Marie Antoinette.
Tyler also shot a beautiful closeup of Queen Bey just wearing the floral headdress, Erickson Beamon earrings and Lynn Ban necklaces.
Some of the images are named after Beyoncé’s iconic songs and lyrics from her past albums. In the image below, she’s wearing a gold Valentino sequin gown with a Phillip Tracy “halo” hat. This photo is named Halo.
In the “I ain’t sorry” photo, the queen is serving major face lounging on the navy-blue stairs barefoot while wearing a Dior tulle dress with Saint Laurent by Anthony Vaccarello earrings. And the closeup in the floral headdress is called “flawless.”
Beyoncé’s also posed in the field in front of aqua fabric wearing a colorful sequin and tassel Gucci gown with Bulgari earrings.
A few of the remaining looks are as follows: a sequin Louis Vuitton dress with Alberta Ferretti shoes; an ivory embellished Wales Bonner suit and Lorraine Schwartz bracelet; and on the second cover, she’s wearing an Alexander McQueen black- and multi-color ruffle dress and corset with Lynn Ban earrings.
This cover story is everything and more. Congrats to Tyler Mitchell and to Beyoncé’s team for these beautiful photos. This cover story gave us so much life!
