T.I. and B.o.B. May Release Collaborative Album
After a year behind bars, T.I. is hitting the ground running. Not only does he have his own album and reality show in the works, but he may be releasing a joint album with B.o.B.
In an interview with Sway on SiriusXM channel Shade 45, Tip said he's recorded several songs with his fellow ATLien. "We've been goin' in," he said. "We're actually flirting with the idea of doin' an album together called The Man and the Martian. We just been compiling material, he and I together, and it's coming out real good."
Joint albums have become somewhat of a trend recently in light of the chart-topping success of Jay-Z and Kanye West's Watch the Throne and Royce Da 5'9 and Eminem's Bad Meets Evil. But Tip said he's had the idea in mind ever since Hov and R. Kelly released two Best of Both Worlds albums together.
"[Bad Meets Evil and Watch the Throne] did inspire me," he said. "But I always have wanted to do a collaborative album. Even back when Jay did that with R. Kelly. I spoke to Usher about doing one of those before; the stars and the moon hadn't aligned appropriately."
Tip said the same may end up happening with his album with B.o.B. "Even this, this is a conversation we had — this [album] is just an idea. It's not set in stone; it's not concrete as of yet."
Let's hope the stars and moon align better this time.
