Gucci Mane Delays The Release Of His Forthcoming Album, 'Mr. Davis'

Looks like Woptober season is set to be in full swing.

With the delay of Gucci Mane's September album release date, it appears as though Woptober is set to be in full swing. After dropping off The Weeknd-assisted "Curve" earlier this week, Guwop's Mr. Davis will now arrive a month later than originally anticipated.

According to a report from HipHopDX, Gucci's eleventh studio album — originally slated for a Sept. 15 release — has now been pushed back to Oct. 17. Taking to Twitter, the Atlanta rapper confirmed the new release date stating that "it's a tradition."

Mr. Davis follows last year's back-to-back studio albums, Everybody Looking and The Return of East Atlanta Santa. In May, Gucci Mane released the Droptopwop mixtape, produced entirely by Metro Boomin. The latter is currently nominated for Best Mixtape at this year's BET Hip Hop Awards alongside releases from Cardi B, Playboi Carti and Tee Grizzley

As previously reported, Guwop's forthcoming effort is set to feature guest spots from a handful of hip-hop's elite, including MigosA$AP Rocky, ScHoolboy Q and Big Sean. Upon the release of Mr. Davis, Gucci will also be jumping the broom with his longtime girlfriend, Keyshia Ka'oir, as well as releasing his bedazzled Reebok Guwops
