That Chick Angel Drops Music Video For “One Margarita (Remix)” With Saucy Santana
It’s been the song of the summer since going viral on TikTok, now there’s a new music video that is just as saucy as the track.
On Wednesday (August 2), That Chick Angel dropped the music video to the remix of “One Margarita” featuring Saucy Santana, according to VIBE.
As reported by Billboard, the song originated as a freestyle the actor spit during an episode of Here’s The Thing podcast, which she co-hosts with comedian KevOnStage. Since then, users on TikTok have made it their anthem of the summer, but for That Chick Angel, it was her way to counter a slut-shaming sermon shared on the platform from Sister Cindy, an Evangelical Christian Pastor. With that came the perfect opportunity for the artist to be her authentic self, and make a hit song while at it.
Of the remix, it’s twice as nice as the original. Santana infuse his flamboyant style and lyrical zest with “Give me one margarita, Imma open my mouth/ In the club p***y popping with my feet on the couch/ I’m a bad b***h, make ‘em start a bottle war/ Get him for his pockets, then I ask him what he crying for.”
The music video also paid an ode to the 90s era as legendary supermodel Cindy Crawford recreated her iconic 1992 Pepsi commercial. In the video, Crawford wears a white tank top, denim shorts, and long brunette hair, the same way she did 31 years ago. As the video opens, she heads for the bar after entering a Mexican restaurant, but instead of a soda like she did in the ad, she opts for a margarita made with Casamigos, a tequila brand co-founded by her husband, Rande Gerber.
To bring the video to life, That Chick Angel had a dream team behind her as Carl Dixon (Casa Di) and Steve Terrell served as producer, while Jake Wilson directed it. Of the vision for the music video, he said in a statement, “The story of how this song blew up feels like an American fairytale. Maybe not a fairytale for CHILDREN, but you get my point. Angel is so easy to root for and I jumped at the chance to help take her to the next stage in her first music video. Santana’s new verse takes the song to another level. I mean, who doesn’t want ‘a big d**k and a bankroll?’ And then to have THEE ultimate legend Cindy Crawford recreating perhaps the most iconic commercial of all-time? The cherry on top.”
