The cultural impact behind Bobby Shmurda's "Hot N***a" is simply undeniable. From cementing Bobby's success in the hip-hop landscape to cultivating an ominous New York sound, the smash-hit was monumental. 

But imagine for a moment if the Jahlil Beats production wasn't laced by the Brooklyn rapper's signature bars but instead by Philly's own Meek Mill's. 

And, as it turns out, that was initially the case prior to Bobby adding his menacing flow to the bass-heavy track. According to Jahlil, the beloved beat was originally crafted with Meek in mind. "That beat was actually for Meek Mill," the Roc Nation producer explained to DJ Booth earlier this week. "At the time, he had so much of that type of music, so I sent it to Lloyd Banks. He put the record out and never really did nothing with it." 

While Jahlil admits that the G-Unit frontman flexed his lyrical abilities on the production, which he later used for the Soundcloud loosie "Jackpot," the track never really saw much commercial success. However, Bobby and Rowdy Rebel's discovery of the beat on one of Jahlil's instrumental tapes led to a historic breakthrough.
