A Lil Boosie associate has been denied bail in a case that accuses him of attempting to smuggle codeine into Angola prison on behalf of the rapper. Undercover police conducted surveillance on Titus Franklin after the East Baton Rogue District Attorneys Office received death threats against the lead prosecutor. This is how they learned that Franklin and another man tried to smuggle codeine into Angola for Lil Boosie.

A judge denied Franklin's request for bail and ordered him to prison, The Advocate reports. According to the judge, Franklin is a drug dealer with previous run ins with the law including multiple felony arrests. He's posted over $450,000 in bail for six different drug cases that span less than two years.

Meanwhile, Lil Boosie is serving a 10-year sentence in Angola State Prison for possession of marijuana, but expected to serve only two to three years. Unfortunately, he has also been indicted for first-degree murder and prosecutors still have not decided whether to pursue the death penalty against the rapper.
