It's going to be hard for Letroy Guion to reverse the NFL's decision, but it seems like he's going to try anyway.

A source has told ESPN that the Green Bay Packers defensive tackle and his agent and lawyers immediately began preparing an appeal upon learning this week of the NFL hammering him with a three-game suspension for his offseason arrest.

Guion earned the league suspension after police seized 357 grams of marijuana, upwards of $190,000 in cash and an unloaded gun in his truck during a February arrest. Guion paid a $5,000 fine in a plea deal to avoid serious legal trouble, but the NFL still came down on him via its ban of the defensive tackle.

ESPN is also reporting that Guion is suing Starke, Fla., authorities to recover the $190,000-plus and his 2015 Dodge Ram truck that police seized during the arrest.

A projected starter on the Packers' defensive line, Guion signed a one-year, $2.75 million contract after his case was settled in March. If Guion's appeal attempt is unsuccessful, he will lose nearly $500,000 from missing the first three games of the 2015 season.

The Packers kick off their 2015 season on the road against the Chicago Bears on Sept. 13.
