In honor of Black Music Month, Chaka Khan stopped by NPR's "Tiny Desk" show to give them some much-needed soul and funk.
The 71-year-old graced the stage with a live band and delivered a vibrant 30-minute performance. The Chicago native, known for her powerful voice and dynamic presence, started the show with "Tell Me Something Good." She continued to captivate the audience with hits like "What Cha’ Gonna Do For Me," "Stay," and "Sweet Thing." The set concluded with an exhilarating rendition of "I’m Every Woman," with the audience enthusiastically singing along.
Khan's illustrious career spans over five decades, earning her ten Grammy Awards and an induction into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame. Known for her work with the funk band Rufus and her successful solo career, Khan has released timeless classics that have left an indelible mark on the music industry.
