Update: Suge Knight Returns to Court for $25 Million Bail Hearing
UPDATE: Judge Ronald Coen ruled $25 million is a "reasonable" amount for Suge Knight's bail as he is considered a flight risk. His lawyer, Matthew Fletcher attempted to sway prosecutors' arguments by saying their perception of Knight is "hype," likely based on watching shows like Empire.
The rap mogul collapsed moments after bail was set. He has been hospitalized several times since being shot six times last August and has announced that he is legally blind in one eye and going blind in the other.
CBS reports that he hit his head on a courtroom table and was knocked unconscious when he fell. The status of his condition is unknown as of press time.

PREVIOUS: Suge Knight is expected back in court for a bail review-hearing, and this time prosecutors have filed a motion citing years of alleged threats, violence and criminal acts, reports the Associated Press.
His "repugnant life of crime" includes a part in an extortion ring that also involves rappers, professional athletes and money laundering and apparently netted $10 million in a "tax" — or more like a toll — Knight would enforce "when a new artist or rapper comes to either Los Angeles or Las Vegas," according to a sheriff's detective, via an affidavit.
Deputy District Attorney Cynthia Barnes filed the motion, requesting that his bail be set at $25 million.
In the summary, Barnes also offers up another reason why Knight was at Tam's Burger and on the set of a Straight Outta Compton biopic shoot on Jan. 29, when the fatal crash took place, killing Terry Carter and injuring Cle "Bone" Sloan. The Death Row founder was "angry" that he "wasn't compensated for his likeness in the movie."
Knight, facing murder, attempted murder and a hit-and-run charge for the incident, has maintained that he acted in self-defense and that he arrived to the scene seeking "peace." He filed for bankruptcy back in 2006 and was denied a $2 million bail at a hearing earlier this year.
He is scheduled to be in the Los Angeles Superior Court today (Friday, March 20) for the hearing.
