Kim Kardashian's husband was allegedly scammed out of hundreds of thousands of dollars by a good friend who was a guest at the couple's wedding and rehearsal dinner this past August.

According to TMZ, Kris Humphries was defrauded by his good friend Andrey C. Hicks, who's been arrested for allegedly running a $1.7 million investment scheme. Sources close to Humphries say that he'd invested hundreds of thousands of dollars with Hicks, which he may never get back now.
Hicks was a target in a federal investigation, accused of soliciting money for a billion-dollar hedge fund that doesn't really exist. Investigators believe that Hicks lied to several investors, including Humphreys. He allegedly claimed he was a Harvard graduate, but in reality Hicks was kicked out after just three semesters for low grades.
Hicks was arrested in Canada yesterday (Oct. 28) and charged with wire fraud. Officials believe he was trying to escape to Switzerland. If convicted, he could face up to 20 years behind bars and a $250,000 fine.
