Quavo To Perform Takeoff Tribute At 2023 Grammys
Quavo is set to honor his nephew and fellow Migos cohort Takeoff with a special tribute performance at Sunday’s (February 5) 65th annual Grammy Awards.
Last month, the Gwinnett, Georgia native shared his tribute track “Without You”, which remembers Takeoff and mourns his tragic death. A somber, black-and-white music video for the song was also released.
Quavo will perform a rendition of his tribute song alongside the Maverick City Music choir at the event, slated to take place at Crypto.com Arena.

The Recording Academy announced the tribute performance as part of their In Memoriam segment, which pays homage to artists that have passed away over the past year.
On November 1, Takeoff was shot in the head and back outside a Houston bowling alley as more than 30 people were leaving a private party.
Local station KPRC reported that prosecutors have video evidence of suspect Patrick Clark pointing and firing a gun in the direction of a group of people. Investigators found his fingerprints on a wine bottle that Clark left at the scene. The police arrested Clark on December 1.
According to Houston police officials, a dispute over a dice game preceded at least two people opening fire around 2:30 a.m. The suburban Atlanta rapper, born Kirsnick Khari Ball, was an innocent bystander. It’s unclear if Clark, a DJ, and Takeoff knew each other.
