Kendrick Lamar Earns Five Spots on the Hot 100
To Pimp a Butterfly is hitting the Billboard charts heavy this week. Besides debuting at No. 1 on the Top 200, Kendrick Lamar’s latest LP is holding down five spots on the Hot 100, according to Chart News.
Lamar’s “Institutionalized,” featuring Bilal and Snoop Dogg, rolls onto the singles chart at No. 99, followed by “Wesley’s Theory” at No. 91 and “Alright” taking the No. 83 slot. Meanwhile, “The Blacker the Berry,” the polarizing single released last month, hit No. 66 on the charts, along with “King Kunta” at No. 61.
Even though the TDE rapper said that he’s not concerned with sales, the commercial reception has been solid. The album is No. 1 in the U.K. and Australia respectively, on top of breaking a Spotify streaming record and taking No. 1 on iTunes.
King Kendrick keeps on winning.
