Cam’Ron Hints To The Possibility Of A ‘Paid In Full’ Sequel

“We’re definitely in the talks about doing something similar to Paid in Full 1.”

Fans of the hip-hop classic film, Paid in Full, are excited after Cam’Ron revealed that there have been conversations about making a sequel.

  • The Dipset frontman shared the news during an interview with Pandora’s J1 over Instagram Live on Monday (May 11.) Cam starred in the 2002 flick, often described as a “growing up in the hood crime drama” alongside Wood Harris and Mekhi Phifer, which followed three close friends' descent into Harlem’s drug game.

“These are conversations that we talked about in the last few months,” he began. “Actually, a couple of hours ago, something we talked about [pertained] to Paid in Full 2.”

“I don’t wanna say 100 percent ‘yes’ but we’re definitely in the talks about doing something similar to Paid in Full 1,” he continued. “It’s definitely a conversation going on right now about that, 100 percent.”

  • While the idea of a sequel has been mentioned on numerous occasions throughout the years, this is the first time Cam has actually confirmed it as a real possibility. The Purple Haze rapper said that talks of the sequel got more serious after a close friend of his became the head of Dimension Films, one of the companies who produced the original film along with Roc-A-Fella Films.

Although, even if a sequel does get greenlit, there’s no telling when they’ll be able to start filming since studios have halted all production of every project due to the coronavirus pandemic.
