Freddie Gibbs Has Some Words for Jeezy: 'I'll Whoop Yo A**, N***a'
When Indiana rap star Freddie Gibbs departed from Young Jeezy’s CTE record label in 2012, some tension followed in the form of a few fiery diss tracks and even more inflamed commentary.
Five years later, in a new lighthearted interview on Desus and Mero, Gangsta Gibbs has reignited the flames with some serious fighting words.
Toward the end of the 13-minute long segment, Gibbs jokingly confronts the hosts about why they “skipped over the Jeezy question,” making it known that he was interested in addressing the situation.
“I saw that s**t, n***a, I can read the teleprompter,” he joked. When both Desus and Mero gave a brief explanation, he quickly stated that the beef was nonexistent anyway — but not without digging in a few shots at his former label boss first.
“It’s gotta be beef when there’s two real motherf**kers in the equation,” he said. “When there’s one motherf**ker, it’s just like — pshh. P**sy a** n***a. I’ll whoop yo a**, n***a. F**k with me. F**k Jeezy. B***h a** n***a. And when that n***a come on here, ask him about me.”
It’s visibly apparent that Gibbs was all smiles while expressing the harsh words, so his sentiments could be taken with a grain of salt.
