Floyd Mayweather Jr. Apologizes for 'Childish Behavior' of His Friends
Who is Floyd Mayweather Jr. talking about?
The undefeated boxing champion took to his Instagram account Thursday night to apologize for "nonsense and childish behavior of some people close to me," although it's unclear exactly who he's referring to.
Although Mayweather didn't name any names, his IG declaration came on the same day that fellow boxer Adrien Broner, who frequently refers to Money as his big brother, was hit with a lawsuit by a woman claiming that she didn't give Broner a sexually-transmitted disease.
Could Broner be the person that Mayweather is referring to or did someone else in The Money Team rub the boxing legend the wrong way?
Whatever the case, Mayweather makes it clear that The Money Team has a zero tolerance for nonsense of this sort.
Mayweather, 38, ended his lengthy IG caption, mentioning September 12, the date of what could very well wind up being the 49th and final fight of his career.
Earlier on Thursday, a report surfaced about Mayweather working on a short list of opponents for the bout and that the fight could happen on free television via CBS as his final swan song.
In an interview with FightHype.com late last month, Mayweather said he was "100 percent" serious about making Andre Berto his final opponent.
