Kamala Harris Challenges Donald Trump: ‘Say It To My Face’
On Tuesday (July 30), Kamala Harris held her first rally as the new Democratic presidential nominee at Atlanta's Georgia State Convocation Center. During her speech, she challenged Donald Trump, the Republican presidential nominee, to meet her on the debate stage. She called him out for backing out of a previously agreed-upon debate in November.
“Well, Donald, I do hope you’ll reconsider to meet me on the debate stage because as the saying goes, If you’ve got something to say, say it to my face,” the vice president said while the crowd cheered.
During the speech, Harris added, “The momentum in this race is shifting and there are signs that Donald Trump is feeling it — you may have noticed.”
Megan Thee Stallion opened the rally with a choreographed performance of some of her hit singles.
Quavo also hit the stage to speak on Harris’ commitment to tackling gun violence and running the first-ever White House Office of Gun Violence Prevention. “You can’t understand the struggle of gun violence if you not in the field or in the heart of it,” the former Migos rapper told the crowd.
