Where Brooklyn at?!

In honor of the Notorious B.I.G.'s legacy, the Barclays Center tonight (Mar. 12) hosted a very fitting special evening of basketball. With the Brooklyn Nets taking on the New York Knights, the 20th anniversary of Biggie's death wouldn't have been properly remembered without a party that he'd sure to have been the center of if he were still alive today.

During the event, appropriately dubbed #BiggieNight, the iconic rapper's mother, Voletta Wallace, hopped on the mic to address the crowd and thank his fans for a lifetime of support.

"Thank you so much for inviting myself, my granddaughter, my grandson, Faith (Evans), Wayne and Mark for this wonderful night," Ms. Wallace said, thanking those who organized the event honoring her late son. "This is my very, very first professional basketball game."

She then went on to pay a quick homage to Biggie, using the opportunity to quote some of her son's own wisdom.

"In the bottom of my heart," she concluded. "I have to remember what my son said in the past: Brooklyn we did it!"

During the festivities, Barclays Center also unveiled a brand new banner that will permanently hang from the arena's ceiling honoring Biggie's life and legacy. In addition to the number 72 representing the year of his birth, the banner also appropriately displays the late legend's signature catch phrase, "Spread love, it's the Brooklyn way."

With Diddy, Lil' Kim and Notorious producer Wayne Barrow among those in attendance, special limited edition merchandise available, his music solely played during the event and even the cheerleaders dedicating a special routine in his honor, tonight's game was one for the memory books. #WeMissYouBIG.
