Live Stream: MTV's Red Carpet Coverage of The Grammys
Online tailgating for the 56th Annual Grammy Awards will take place right here on BET.com.
Via a live stream today (Jan. 26), catch MTV's full coverage of the red carpet pre-show for "music's biggest night," which so far includes performances by not only Beyoncé, the reigning pop queen herself, but also her husband, Jay Z, who has notoriously boycotted the Grammys in previous years.
Jay used to be mad "because too many major rap artists continue to be overlooked," he said back in 2002.
This year, ironically, besides Bey and Jay's performance, rap categories are one of the main focal points of the show. The hooplah is mostly surrounding newcomers Kendrick Lamar and Macklemore & Ryan Lewis, the latter of whom recently made headlines when it leaked that comittee members were questioning if they have enough rap credibility to even be nominated in the genre.
Both acts will perform and are up for multiple trophies, going head-to-head in the coveted Best Rap Album category with their debut collections. Macklemore has said that he hopes Lamar wins.
Also among the night's performers are Daft Punk, John Legend, Stevie Wonder, Lorde, and Madonna.
