Cynthia Bailey Reflects on Divorce From Mike Hill
Cynthia Bailey is adjusting to life post-divorce.
On Sunday’s (August 20) episode of The Real Housewives of Atlanta, the reality star opened up on how her new journey as a single woman affects her, according to PEOPLE.
At the top of the episode, Bailey spoke with co-star Kenya Moore and addressed the status of her love life. "Guess who's officially single!" she said.
"Aw, your divorce is final?" Moore replied.
For the Bailey Agency founder, only one word could break it down. “Officially,” she shared.
But for Bailey, emotions surrounding her divorce from tv host Mike Hill are mixed. “It’s like a happy sad,” she said.
The now-divorced duo exchanged nuptials in October 2020 but filed for divorce two years later.
On Halloween 2022, Bailey revealed on the Two Ts in a Pod podcast hosted by The Real Housewives of Orange County’s Tamra Judge and The Real Housewives of Beverly Hill’s alum Teddi Mellencamp Arroyave what she believed led them to go their separate ways. “I felt like we weren't friends anymore," she said.
"I felt like it was just going toward we're just not going to be friends if we didn't pump the brakes." For her, that was the “final straw.”
She also told PEOPLE, "God does not make mistakes! I truly believe in my heart Mike coming into my life was destiny. I jumped in, both feet first and gave it my all.”
"Although that journey has come to an end," she added. "I am so grateful for our continued friendship and the beautiful memories that we made together. God willing, I will find love again. Whatever is destined to be will be, and I could not be more excited for my next chapter!"
The sports broadcaster told the outlet, “I love Cynthia and will always love her because she is a phenomenal woman and a beautiful person."
