Here's Why ESPN's Bomani Jones's T-Shirt Is Trending

Trolling for equality.

UPDATE: It turns out that ESPN wasn't too pleased with Bomani Jones using Mike & Mike as a platform to make a statement with his "Cleveland Caucasians" T-shirt, which was a reference to the Cleveland Indians' racist logo.

TMZ Sports is reporting that the network actually had Jones partially cover up the shirt as the nationally televised show progressed Thursday morning.

"As the show progressed, we felt Bomani had made his point and had openly discussed why he was wearing the shirt, and we wanted to keep the focus to the topics of the day," ESPN wrote in a statement to TMZ.

Fair? Or should the Worldwide Leader in Sports have allowed Jones to rock the T-shirt for the duration of his appearance on the show?_________________________________________________________________________________________

PREVIOUSLY: Like people have with the Washington Redskins, there have been plenty of critics slamming the Cleveland Indians for their controversial logo, begging them to change their nickname.

Yet, the 2016 Major League Baseball season is underway... and the ball club is still named the Indians with that same damn logo.

In an attempt to seemingly point out the racist logo, ESPN personality Bomani Jones appeared on the network's Mike & Mike show wearing a Cleveland Caucasians T-shirt, replacing the Indians' logo with that of a white guy. (Yahoo Sports reports that the company behind the shirt is Shelf Life Clothing.)

Upon seeing the shirt, Twitter exploded, making Jones an instant trending topic, with people either loving it and the statement he made or hating it and his gesture.

One person, who has since deleted his message, tweeted to Jones, "What happens if @Espngreeny wore an "African-Americans" shirt on the air?"

Greeny refers to one half of ESPN's show Mike & Mike's Mike Greenberg, who is white.

To that, Jones shut down his follower saying:

He also didn't shy away from slamming others with the same kind of thinking.

Talk to em, Bomani.

Chalk this up to trolling for equality.
